About The Grief Circle
Grief is a natural response to loss. Research shows that group support intervention for those left behind can support the grieving process, and potentially avoid complicated and unresolved grief. When grieving families and friends are given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment, healing can begin. Loved ones can discuss their losses and challenges with peers who have experienced losses in a safe and trusting environment. They can listen to one another’s experiences and have their feelings validated. Over time they will learn different coping mechanisms they become more in control and see hope in their future. Very often they find that they are better equipped to handle life after loss after attending a support group, will have new tools to deal with their grief as well as connections and an added support network with other carers.
